My N97 did not have this issue.
The stereo speakers are by far the biggest disappointment on the phone. Anybody coming from an N95 will definitely notice a drastic change for the worse. Nokia tuned them to work great for voices but they don’t sound very good at all with music playing and they’re nowhere near as loud as the N95. I confirmed that the first day I got it. Size isn’t the problem either, Nokia just… screwed up I guess.
LOL @ 4:04. NewDawnOy, does your N97’s keyboard have a different feel to each row of keys and is it exhibiting signs of scratching on the camera lens area caused by the cover?
Try out the n97 it’s faster then the 3g but not the 3gS since the iphone 3gS uses cortex8 instead of ARM 11 like the iphone and n97
But i’ve used it and you’ve see this review and it proves and shows that the n97 is not slow
Bestillmyheart- You’re right and I hope your assessment on the phone doesn’t translate into me not liking it. I was like that at first with the iPhone but after a couple updates I was please with the phone. Hopefully that is the situation at hand with the N97. More importantly Nokia listening to its users and making the necessary adjustments. The phone has potential minus the processor and RAM. Possibly Nokia update the OS for greater improvements? Only time will tell.

I had an N82 and i HATED IT! Is this any better then the older n series devices? The thing is this phone is no longer “the all in one” device that is use to be when im looking at the specs im finding alot of phones that are better now. So owners/ex-owners did you guys like it?

i got this phone this past weekend and got a sick deal for $190 (new 2 year contract with Tmobile). I took it out of the store and started playing with it but to be honest i hated it after 15 mins. of using it. The keyboard bothered me and i wasn’t all that keen on the interface. I returned it and exchanged it for the G1. I know it may sound like a downgrade but i’m absolutely loving my G1 right now…so much more user friendly in my opinion and the apps are amazing. But to each their own.

Yeah I thought so, I have checked for software updates but it tells me that there is none available yet and that it is up to date.
