As someone who tests the phone (but yes, I’m a bit biased), I think it will open the world to a much improved user experience. Does it compete with iPhone? Sure, I suppose, but there’s a market for both. My son enjoyed a spansive full-length movie selection on our last car trip on the 32G internal and 16G external. Used my dual quad-core Mac Pro to convert some BluRay to H264. So, uhh, thanks Apple for that at least.

Apple isn’t the best at creating a great user experience by a long shot.

you are right about that, they’re doing well in dumb-phones but you have to admit that nokia is getting hurt more and more in the u.s and first world countries.
Im not a big fan of iphone, i used to have one and sold it but i have to admit that apple are the best in providing the best user experience unlike nokia and nokia is going down the hill and will no longer be the sole dominant of the market

n97,5800 and n81. they all need to be redisgned. lack of buttons does matter.

Heh. Nokia sells over 135 million phones in 4 months with no hype.
Lets take N95 in a example. It was released about same time as iphone, but with no hype and price tag of 800 euros it sold 17 million.
Yes here internet world it might seem all important, but hype dosen’t yet sell the phones ;)

Exactly, I got a 5800 on contract in April, then the N97 came out, now the N900 and the 5800 will be replaced by the new ‘X’ series.

highly doubt this will ever happen, remember the day when iphone was announced and the hype all over the internet !! or the hype wheb apple announce the features of an upcoming iphone’s os upgrade !!
Apple know how to hype people all over the earth, they probably have the best marketing division in the world, while Nokia are not good at all, this seems to be better than iphone but it will never take its place for sure
