The original Nseries vision: Nokia Mobile Computing 2010

Mobile Computing 2010 was the campaign designed to show just how far you can push the boundaries with Nokia devices — and it’s what conceived our: ‘It’s not technology, it’s what you do with it’ tagline. It’s about anything that makes you proclaim: ‘That’s Awesome!’. For example, it was as part of this campaign that videos such as the POV commercial www.youtube.com , Dot www.youtube.com and Hamster Phone Charger www.youtube.com were created. Now all these videos are out there, we’ve decided to go back to the very start… and show you this first internal video of our original thinking - so that you can see how far the campaign has developed from the beginning…. www.nokia.com

@andynugent yeah, you’re right. They could be making one with S^4 or something and some could argue that they will make a N8-01 or something like that with it still being the N8….

The video is great… yet can’t help but notice how it stressed “hardware” over “software”. This has been the fundamental problem since the N95. It’s no longer about what are baseline hardware features (camera, color, battery, memory, etc…), these need to be high performers as a given and are no longer true differentiators in the competitive landscape. It’s about software and user experience. Recognize this and get it right please. I’m rooting for you.

@jullikka777 No they didn’t. They said the N8 would be the only Symbian^3 device (the “^3″ is the important bit) and it was wodely misquoted.
