Apple iPad now available in South Korea

The Apple iPad is now available in South Korea. According to AFP, there were lines outside of KT, the South Korean wireless operator that’s currently the only Apple partner in South Korea offering the iPad. KT has reportedly received 50,000 preorders for the iPad since it began accepting orders on November 17. “We’ve started distributing it nationwide. Customers are receiving their preordered iPads at the moment,” a KT spokesperson told AFP. The device starts at 218,000KRW ($192) with a 2-year contract.
