Virgin Mobile LG Optimus V vs Samsung Intercept Part 2

With two Android phones now being offered by Virgin Mobile I decided to do a two part comparison video. This part shows some performance tests. Make sure to check out Part 1 which covers design and some of the hardware and software differences. Just got your phone and want 60 free minutes? During activation enter “4LL9vcNt” as the Kickback Code! Check out my site - www.BoyMeetsPhone.com

I have the samsung intercept and its android version is now 2.2 thanks to an update and my sister has the optimus v and I like it more than the samsung intercept. The samsung intercept freezes and lags waaayyyyy too much

@lildannyish Yes if you have 3g connection were you are (which Virgin has in most places)then you don’t need wifi. Oh, and yes there is a touch keyboard with swype and a reguler android keyboard

@bbusath5 There is a rumor that one with a keyboard will be hitting this fall but I don’t know if Virgin Mobile will carrier it

@13briand I was planning on it but my Intercept got damaged and no longer works. I wrote a full review of the Intercept running Android 2.2 on my site

@C3PO56 I was planning on it but unfortunately my Intercept got damaged during storms we had in my area last week. So to do so I have to get my hands on another Intercept. If I can I will but if I can’t I wouldn’t be able to

@marcus200275347 You are right in a way. But the update to Android 2.2 did improve the Intercept in many ways. It caught up with the Optimus in some areas. I was planning to do another comparison video between the two but unfortunately my Intercept got damaged during storms we had in my area last weeks.

If you are activating the Intercept or Optimus V for the first time and enter my kickback code on the official Virgin Mobile website, we both get 60 free bonus minutes. 9YFHN07V is the code. The 0 in the kickback code is a zero, not the letter O.

Mostly all of you are wrong! The android optimus v is better than the samsung intercept! I have seen many videos of the android and the unboxing is easier it loads faster and it is a really good phone I’m gonna get it in june

Thumbs up if LG should make a slide out optimus! Then it would kill the intercept!

@Michigander4 if they have the 3D models in your area you take two fingers and slide down on the screen. If would suggest trying it while viewing a major city as they are more than likely to have the 3d rendering of it up.

@ZachofWar97 It does have the silence and vibrate feature just not in the pull down menu. If you down mind a on-screen keyboard i would go with the optimus. It runs a lot smoother since graphics are handled but its GPU rather than just by the CPU. Also LG promised at the least a one-level upgrade for all optimus phones.

hi, i’ve watched both of your reviews on these phones but im still not completely sure which one to get.i like playing the apps but i also text a lot.i also like my phone to be more interactive. the thing im concerned about though is the optimus not having a silence or vibrate feature. do you know if that will be updated or if there is an app for that? with that being said, do you think the optimus or the intercept is better for me?
