HTC Thunderbolt vs Samsung Droid Charge vs LG Revolution Verizon LTE Speed Test

Long title right? Yeah I know…I took a trip to Atlanta today and I figured I would take some time out to do a comparison for you guys. Verizon currently sells three phones capable of accessing their blazing fast 4G LTE network. In comparison, 4G LTE is probably twice as fast as your home internet. Since coverage is limited right now to mostly major cities. Everytime I go to Atlanta, I use the opportunity to experience “real 4G”. I know what you are thinking, all three phones are 4G LTE capable and they should be able to do the same speeds right? I won’t spoil the results, but not all 4G phones are created equal. After all HTC, Samsung and LG are reputable phone makers…who is better at 4G? Lets’s find out.

    @OMEGAxPREDATOR no they werent on wifi … if they had been they would mark it in the notification bar on the top they were usin the 4G network, and no the Lg revolution does not get 11mbps on “3G’ on 4G yes but not on 3G Verizon’s 3G cannot reach speeds that quick on any specific mobile device using the network alone..{Verizon Employee for 2 yrs. to present}

    really speed means performance and your talking about speed network and if its same network on different phones equals same speed. performance is a better comparison for speed, no its easier to call u retarded as fuck

    @xXxG3T0WN3DxXx You really must be retarded, huh? It’s a comparison of what Verizon phone is top dawg in terms of speed. Forget it, it’s just easier to call you stupid.

    This video is BS they were on WI fi and the thunderbolt and charge were set to a close location for the test… The revolution was in 3g so… 11Mbps is great for 3g.

    I love the tbolt and the charge for different reasons. Both have nice screens but the tbolt doesn’t have the faggoty iphonish icons. But the Charge has the better battery life. So it just comes down to speed and developer support. Tbolt takes both categories

    @somaco7 Yea, LTE should have a better ping than other 4g and 3g. the ping time makes more of a difference with average surfing once u get over a certgain amount of bandwith. My droid charge beats my home computer (on fios) in bandwith, but my home computer on fios crushes it in ping speed. When i surf the internet on my computer it still much faster than my phone on 4g.

    @xXxG3T0WN3DxXx The actual test speeds may not be accurate, but the respective places in speed are. Multiple comparisons have shown that the Revolution cannot keep up with the Thunderbolt majority of the time. I read somewhere that it has to do with HTC’s antenna design vs LG’s.

    For all intents and purposes for why this video was made, it has thoroughly accomplished it’s goal. The Thunderbolt, and Droid are faster, data speed wise, than an LG Revolution while in the same conditions.

    @xXxG3T0WN3DxXx Purpose of this test was clearly to show which of Verizon’s 4G LTE phones is faster, data wise. Comparisons aren’t just limited to differing networks and their respective phones.

    Perhaps, if you thought about that, maybe your ignorant comments wouldn’t make YOU the “idiot”.

    @aluckyzero its all really not accurate their running on same network. its same signal it may show otherwise but like i said its not accurate like GPS

    @xXxG3T0WN3DxXx well since different phones have different reception, i found that really helpful
