    Samsung amoled issues “purple screen” like Nokia, it’s not normal, it’s a defect! green pixels do not illuminate equally with the red and blue pixels.

    @kaymalai This was a Samsung issue you moron. I didn’t say its the super amoleds fault its got banding issue! im saying the 16bit bit issue was something Samsung put out probably on the orders on Microsoft, when it should have been 24bit/32bit. I know how to get that you fool, you need that registry explorer , xap file
    but some of us have not had our omnia 7’s dev unlocked. Thats the only way you can use this xap files.

    Once again:

    SAMOLED technology does NOT have any banding!!!!! It´s appears ONLY on WP7 devices and it´s only Microsofts fault because those motherfuckers downgraded all devices to 16bit for better performance!!!

    @MobileTechWorldTV

    your so called “banding” is not a SAMOLED issue.

    it´s due to Microsofts 16-bit registry settings in WINDOWS PHONE 7!!!! Update your Optimus 7 and you´ll seee that (after WP7 Nodo Update) it has Banding, too…

    I set my Omnia7 with e registry editor back to 32 bit and …taaadaaaa….no more banding!!!!!

    @kaymalai you cowfucker, theres a reason why i was praising HD7 but other vids i praised Omnia 7 strictly to get opinions. But guess which one i bought?? the omnia 7! but mine is not 16GB..only the german editions are 16GB. Ive had the Omnia 7 for a month now. BTW super amoled may look good, but wait till you see certain colorful pictures,games, theres major color banding issue. Dumb fucks samsung chose 16GB instead of 24 bit/32bit platform for such high saturation .

    @mooseolly No, it is because some clever engineer thought it would be a good idea to arrange the pixels as rgbg, yes thats a green dot inbetween pixels. It’s called PenTile RGBG. Anyway, the new super amoled plus type displays are normal RGB and should be truly superiour.

    @manolom1979 Windows 7 is still new in the market. Hopefully, it’ll grow like androids, and may the best win.

    And, wouldn’t black colour best to be pure black, so that the other colours will stand out? Since you like more colours? haha. I love the blackness, cos the icons or displays look extremely sharp with their own colours. :D

    the colour banding is a flaw with the loading screen, it usually don’t shows up on regular lcd screen because normal lcd screens do not have enough contrast ratio to reveal them. Conversely, amoled has so much contrast ratio that it is able to differentiate between the colours deeply on the loading screen which causes the banding.

    Thats it ..im buying the HD7, i will sacrifice the better camera on the Omnia 7 and its colors ..for the HD7 . HD7 really is the better phone isn’t it? the extra apps, the hub, the screen, the kick stand and 16GB of internal memory.
    HD7 will give you a better browsing experience. Also ive seem other reviews once the setting is on high contrast, the colors pop on the HD7 ., okay the blacks wont be pitch black like Omnia 7..but it cant be that off putting.

    I’d rahter see more colors and some “not so black” black than banding and “deep” black. By the way, black is not even considered a colour.
    As for HTC, yes, they build great hardware but the Windows 7 devices are not as that great. I think it’s a matter of pure luck in the end
