Nokia E6 review, The E spirit

“Don’t let your E71/72 smartphone read this. No, it won’t have a heart attack or anything. But you don’t want it suddenly feeling sad and useless. You certainly realize the E71/E72 duo is getting old and rusty. Like it or not, it’s time to move on. The Nokia E6 will not take No for an answer. A super crisp VGA touchscreen, the finessed Symbian Anna, the strong messenger bloodline and the stainless steel armor are a tempting combination. The package will make long-time Eseries users feel right at home and cheer the upgrades.” Read more here:

LG Optimus Pro Pictures Emerge, Looks like a BlackBerry

A Blackberry-esque looking Android phone has recently shown itself to the world with that QWERTY keyboard front and center. Some might look at this and brush it off but I actually really like the idea, bringing these Blackberry style designs to Android to get more and more users over to the greatest mobile OS ever, Android! Today we have our eyes on the LG Optimus Pro. The LG Optimus Pro runs with Android 2.3 and has a 2.8 inch display, a 3 megapixel camera as well as that QWERTY keyboard you can’t miss. Not many other details have emerged but we are hoping it runs with a processor faster than the recent Optimus One series as they only have a 600 Mhz CPU. This could also be LG’s answer to the Motorola XPRT we recently unboxed. If they want to compete it will at least need a 1 Ghz CPU to compare with the above mentioned XPRT. Our friends over in Italy have the first look of this device and it should start making the rounds soon, most likely it will be headed to the U.S. markets sometime soon as this new form factor could be a great sell for many looking to leave Blackberry. Head on to the source for more pictures and you might need Google Translate unless you speak Italian.” via androidcommunity.com

Apple strikes on Samsung, wants to ban the Galaxies in the US

“Apple has made the next step into the patent war against Samsung. Yesterday Apple has filed a complaint to the US International Trade Commission (USITC) requesting a ban for every Galaxy S phone in the USA.
Samsung might be dropping its latest complaint against Apple in the USA (which by the way had the same purpose - ban the iGadgets in the USA), but Apple doesn’t really care. It has just filed a counter suit in the USITC requesting to stop the import of all flavors of the first generation Galaxy S phone - Captivate, Fascinate, Infuse 4G and Galaxy S 4G, the QWERTY droids Intercept and Transform, and the Galaxy Tab and Tab 10.1.
The reason for the ban request is once again the infringement of 6 patents - 4 technical and 2 design ones.
As it seems, the patent war is nowhere near its end and we will be seeing more of these for sure. We bet everything will eventually be settled with the help of a huge amount of cash and patent exchange between the two sides.” via gsmarena.com
